They kissed, unable to contain their excitement from finally seeing each other after 2 years, and as the James and Emma's heads turned, they were shocked.
"J-J-JACOB?! W-WHAT IS EVEN HAPPENING RIGHT NOW?"
"K-Kori, why are are you kissing him? WHY ARE YOU KISSING HIM!"
The old couple began to argue, their anger and frustration and hate and jealousy all pouring out at once. Jacob and Kori sneaked away, meeting outside. Kori glared at him.
"
Why the heck would you KISS ME? We could've been caught!"
"Oh, really? Then... why'd you kiss back?"
He smiled as a slight blush appeared across her cheeks. She stammered, looking for an excuse, her blush slowly increasing by the second.
"Uh-um-I... uh...I-um-uh...GAAHH!"
She shoved him, angry at him for making her shy. She slowly cheered up though, as he giggled in triumph of making her blush.
"That's how it felt when I fell for you..."
"Shut up. Oh, yeah, sorry, I have to go. Got work tomorrow, as usual. Goodbye, Jacob Goldenflame."
"And sweet dreams to you, my love."
He handed her a bouquet, bowed, and kissed her hand as she disappeared, still blushing. As she materialized in her room, she found herself still blushing and smiling like a dork, then frowned and mentally scolded herself. She changed into her pajamas, and hopped in bed. She asked herself, Kori, why do you love this boy? As if in answer, her brain thought, because he loves you and thinks you're beautiful and treats you better than anyone else does. And with that, she dozed off, cheeky grin still plastered on her face from the dinner, and dreamed of Jacob.
"So, now you know the pain and burn of rejection. Stings, doesn't it?"
"WELL, IT'S NOT LIKE YOU EVEN BOTHERED TO CALL WHEN YOU CAME BACK TO LIFE!"
"Okay, first of all, I THOUGHT YOU DIED. WHY COULD YOU CALL, HUH?"
"OH REALLY?! I see now. I know why you did this. I-IT'S BECAUSE YOU WANTED TO HIDE YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH KORI, ISN'T IT?"
"OH, SO THAT'S YOUR BIG "COMEBACK"? THIS- THIS -WAS ALL A MISTAKE. Goodbye. Goodbye forever this time."
"Yeah, Good Riddance."
"See you never, Emma Parker."
"See you never, James Williams."
Emma stormed off, fighting back tears.
