The Dark and the Light: Season 2 Episode 8

Kori was a Dark Genie who used her powers to fake being a Light. They were secretly in love and pretended to love other people.


Jacob fell for her instantly with her warm, gentle smile and sweet voice, humming as she made his Dark Caramel Coffee. He talked to her, telling her jokes, soon both falling for each other slowly. She had handed him the coffee, smiling, slightly blushing as their hands briefly met. He gazed into her eyes, the perfect shade of gold, and looked at her brown hair cascading down her back in a braid, then turned away, blushing, internally scolding himself for acting shy.


He came back the next day, stammering out his order, blushing furiously. She seemed as cheery and warm as always. He visited every day, but not for the coffee.


"Uh... um, I-uh-I... um, er... I want a.. uh, a.. um-"

She held out a steaming drink.

"Dark Caramel Latte, smooth, soymilk, whipped cream?"

She giggled as he took the drink, shocked, and walked with him to a table, checking out for the day.

"So! You come here everyday... Do you like our coffee?"

"Um... Uh-well-no-yeah-I mean... it's good... but, I-uh- came to-for the-uh...someone who comes heree-everyday?"

"Ooh, a crush! Who's the lucky lady?"

"Well... she has... gorgoeus gold eyes that... sparkle like the sun... and.. brown hair like... a chocolate waterfall?"

She slowly blushed, realizing what he meant. And they met every day, soon realizing and revealing their love for each other.
