All By Myself? : Season 1 Episode 1

“Beep, beep, beep!” blared my alarm clock. I groaned,” I don’t wanna go to school!”. I sighed, yawned, and opened my bedroom door to find myself not in my house, but in a futuristic lab. Confused, I walked up to the door of the lab, and heard machines humming and an indescribable warbling, chomping noise. Frightened, I ran back to my room to see... myself sleeping on the bed? My parents watched me with tears in their eyes. I screamed, but no one heard me. I ran to my mom, in tears, and grabbed her She didn’t notice. I shouted,”Mom! I’m right here! Don’t cry!”


She looked in my direction. I smiled. She ran to me, arms open. I held out my arms. She ran straight through me and hugged my aunt. I ran to my father. “Do you see me?” I asked hopefully. My father didn’t budge. I went back to the lab. Then, my bedroom door slammed. The lab door opened, and my jaw dropped. It was… a robot hospital? I opened my bedroom and put two and two together, finally realizing (by looking at my patient information card) that I was in a coma. I wondered why no one could see me. Then, a very strong man came in and stuck his scepter in my mom’s hand. She instantly collapsed. My dad cursed under his breath. He screamed” Why do the relatives get hurt if the youngest child dies? This injustice will not stand, Zoltar! Mira will claim back the throne of Cadetlia!” The strong man turned around and glared. “ No, she won’t. Once you die in the tournament tomorrow, there will be none left in the royal bloodline, and I will be crowned King of Cadetlia, with no one to stop me!”. Two more strong men came and carried my mother away. I silently followed them to a river. The men dropped her in and ran. I pulled her out of the water.
