All By Myself: Season 1 Episode 5

When I woke up, she floated into my mind, her smile an endless rainbow. I would chase it, and when I reached the end....She...was saying”I like you, Jack!” I blinked. It was real. I said” You do?” She shyly nodded. I blinked. She was suddenly wearing a white dress, matching the snow covered ground around us. She broke from my grasp and started to run, while some upbeat music began to play. I blinked, and I was falling. Suddenly, I heard a thud, and a lady scream “No!” And I blacked out.

I woke up in the bed, wondering if I was back at the hospital. I opened the door, and yet again, there was the lab. My parents were not in the room. I sighed” Rosallyn…” and passed out. When I woke up, I was in the bed, with ROSALLYN staring at me longingly. She said, not noticing me awake,” I… I like you Jack… of course, you may not hear me. But I really do with all my heart. But, now you are dead. At least, that’s what your parents have told me. I however, believe you are alive. Get well soon, Prince of Cadetila.” I stared at her, slipping back into my dream of swimming in her eyes. She saw me breathe and immediately called a doctor.

I desperately tried to get her attention to say “Rosallyn, I like you too!”, but a doctor shoved a cracker in my mouth, and I fainted. When I woke up, I felt cold, warm, dry, wet, hungry, full, parched, and quenched all at once. I looked around. All around me were… eyeballs? People?”Ello, e re he yeball eople. O ou ike he oon? Ause ou’re oing here! E bducted ou nd re aking ou o ur ome lanet!” said one eyeball. I screamed. On blinking, I was back on my bed. Rosallyn gave me a hug and kissed me on the cheek. She stepped back, blushing.

My parents stepped forward. My dad proclaimed”Jack, your betrothed, Princess Rosalind of Corolia, a distant space center that recently blew up. You are to marry her when you come of age. Is that understood?” I answered “Yes, very well understood.” I replied coolly, but my heart was bursting with joy. I loved my sweetheart and was very happy.But before I could smile at Rosallyn, I felt a knife poke me in the chest.
