Emma was heartbroken. She couldn't eat or sleep and all she could think of was her fake romance with James. She thought that it was going to be forever. Just her in his arms and him in hers. What had he said? " Oh, Emma, you're special to me in ways even I can't describe. Who cares what they all say? You in my arms, me in yours. That's all that matters."? How fake it sounded now. How fake it all was. How cliche. The idiotic Light-Jerk disses the Dark girl who loved him and went through a Hospital Treatment for him. She should have known. She should have known all along not to trust the Light Guild, or it's members, even ones who looked cute in 5th grade and still do. Should she say the Treatment didn't work? She decided to. She went through another Treatment and forgot all about James Williams and the love that she thought wasn't meant to be.
On his way home, James reconsidered. He decided to go back and tell her the truth. On reaching, he met his love in her room. He again made the doctor leave and spoke to Emma,
" Sweetie, honey, it's me. James. I told you I hated you, but I lied to protect you. Forgive me?"
"Ooh! It's Prince Charming! I'm gonna marry you and be a Princess!" squealed Emma.
" What? Are you mocking me or are you... being honest? You wanna marry me?"
James' heart leaped for joy.
The doctor came back.
" Mr. Doctor, do Princes have cooties? Ewwww! Get away from me! Cooties!" Emma said and ran off.
"What? Cooties? WAIT. Did she have a second Treatment?"
" Yup. She did so. Why?"
"Oh, nothing. I'm an intern here, you see. Just learning."
James heart was dashed to pieces. He did this. He brought it upon himself. Emma wanted to forget him. She did it on purpose. She was gone.
Emma smiled to herself that night. She was smitten with the handsome stranger who had visited her. Oh, his deep blue eyes. They seemed so familiar, and she didn't know why.
