The Dark and the Light: Season 1 Episode 8

It all happened too quick. The knocks at the door, then guards racing up the stairs and dragging Emma to the Hospital. The Hospital was the jailhouse for forbidden lovers. They erased your memories and made you start your life over. They taught you the basics and then let you go. They told you to scream till your throat burned, and took your memories through the screams. Then you start over life. Emma was forced to yell. She still let them take it all, except she left one memory in her head. Her date with James. She would make sure to never forget, but pretend to. James walked in, looking at her longingly. He said he would rather say one last goodbye and move from the USA than have memories erased. One lover was given a choice, the other kidnapped and forced. Emma looked at him, longing to kiss him, but kept up the act. James tried to remind her, but the doctor was there, so she couldn't give away her secret. James cried with pain and heartbreak. He asked for a moment alone with her. The doctor agreed and left the room. All cameras were shut off. Emma got up, kissed him, and whispered in his ear "I remember you, James. I remembered our date at Usual. I remember!" But James whispered back," I don't want to be with you. I hate you. How could I ever love a Dark? I never loved you. That back there was just an act." With a deadpanned face, he left the room. Emma collapsed and cried and cried. She wiped her tears and washed her face. She got back in bed just in time. As soon as he walked out, he broke into tears. He loved Emma more than ever, and could not risk her safety. He had to lie, and tell the love of his life he hated her. The doctor thought he was heartbroken and ignored him. But he now had a secret too.

If requested to remove any Users-of-Users’ Personal Information, we will respond to such request within thirty (30) days.
